What the result means

CPC — Children's Product Certificate

Required for products designed or intended mainly for children 12 and under. Testing must be done by a CPSC-accepted third-party laboratory.

GCC — General Certificate of Conformity

Required for general-use products covered by CPSC rules. Any qualified laboratory — or first-party testing — can support the certificate.

Rule data transcribed from CPSC.gov (GCC list current as of Aug 8, 2024; children's list complete as of Dec 5, 2024). Not legal advice — verify the current rule and review your certificate with a qualified compliance professional before filing.
